The Canadian Government prohibits banks from selling insurance on the Internet
While you’re wondering how to lower your auto insurance premiums and home insurance, our beloved federal government that you elected him, does nothing to that effect.
Indeed, an article by Tara Perkins of The Globe and Mail highlights a bill that would prohibit banks from selling insurance on the Web. Obviously, banks rise up because even if they can not sell insurance in branches, they could, through third parties, offer insurance on their site.
